Movie Review: Phata Poster Nikla Hero

The Times Of India: 3.5/5

This one's worth it for the 'howlarity' of it all. And Shahid in his element. 'Vishwas' nahin hota? ...Go watch! (LOL! Maa Kasam, it's just the comedy hangover!)
Note: You may not like this film if you don't have a taste for silly humour & mindless gags!

KoiMii.com: 2.5/5

Rajkumar Santoshi has stuffed his vast knowledge of commercial cinema well in Phata Poster Nikhla Hero. It is another formulaic film with a rather simple story at its core. If entertainment is all you expect from films, this one won’t hurt much in its first half. It has a hero who smashes, thrashes and makes you laugh all with equal ease! I won’t call it a must watch since the film becomes a drab post-interval with its dwindling laughter and story going haywire but nevertheless you can give this one a shot.It won’t be entirely regrettable!

Taran Adarsh: 3.5/5

On the whole, PHATA POSTER NIKHLA HERO is an entertainer all the way. If you relished AJAB PREM KI GHAZAB KAHANI from the team of Taurani and Santoshi, chances are you will also lap up this vibrant, kaleidoscopic, light-hearted entertainer.

NDTV: 1/5

Stay away from this film if you value your time and money. And if you still insist on giving it a shot, do remember that there is no refund on the ticket. That is what you will be asking for well before the joke winds up.

ZEE NEWS: 2.5/5

If you want to take your kids for a movie, then ‘Phata Poster Nikla Hero’ is definitely a good choice this weekend. And even otherwise if you still want to watch the film, do not go with great expectations.

Movie Review: The Lunchbox

NDTV: 4/5

Literally speaking, this lunchbox has no meat. Moreover, its masala mix is markedly understated. But no worries, it offers much that you can dig your teeth into. Gorge into it and savour its lingering aftertaste. The Lunchbox holds riches that aren’t likely to be forgotten in a hurry.

KoiMoi.com: 4.5/5

The Lunchbox within the first few minutes made its way into the cockles of my heart. Elegantly done, the film conjures a connoisseur variety of cinema where love and romance are stretched beyond the contours marked out by epic Bollywood romances. The love here has so much tenderness, eulogizes companionship of two very unlikely people who are drawn close over notes exchanged via , which almost builds up as a character in their story. Films like these are gratifyingly piquant and should definitely not be missed!

The Times Of India: 4.5/5

Like a tiffin carrier, The Lunchbox has levels - it is the story of a man so lonely, he's forgotten what any companionship means. It is the story of a suburban housewife, deeply alone. It is the story of meeting via eating. It is a love story- and a love-letter to Mumbai, to trains that go dhak-dhak , to dabbawalas and rain, to love and life, sugar and spice, the despair and hope that mark every heart.

India Today: 4/5

With The Lunchbox, Batra has delivered a delicious, self-assured debut which hits all the right notes or should we say, taste buds. It makes you want to run not to the nearest restaurant but home, craving for your mother's food or relish cooking a hot chapatti.

FirstPost:

Dear reader, this is a delicious, beautiful little film. Just don't watch it on an empty stomach.

Taran Adarsh: 4/5

On the whole, THE LUNCHBOX is a standout film, a sumptuous treat that's sure to be relished by connoisseurs of cinema. A film with a big heart, it makes you realize that you can unearth contentment and pleasure even if you board the wrong train. Easily one of the finest films to come out of India.

ZEE NEWS : 4.5/5

Clearly, ‘The Lunchbox’ is a wholesome affair – one that shows how it feels when mundane seems magic and attempts to explore the concept of age bar in love.

Movie Review: RANGREZZ

Times Of India: **1/2

The boy buddies put in their best, but this film could have done with a dash more ofcolour.

Powerful social drama.

NDTV: ***

GO FOR IT.The rebellious boys' club of Rangrezz is every bit as meritorious as its couter part in Kai Po Che!

Taran Adarsh: **

Rangrezz has a very impressive first half, but losses focus in 2nd half.

KoiMoi.com: **

The film's honesty is its sole USP.Period!

Movie Review: AATMA

Times Of india: ***

Aatma may not send shivers down your spine, but it dares to unconventional.

One star for gumption, one for efforts, but none at all for rest.
